7 Day Returns Policy


Under the EC Distance Selling Directive, you have the right to cancel a contract for your purchase within 7 working days of delivery. You do not need to give any reason for cancelling your contract, nor will you have to pay any penalty. You cannot cancel your contract if the goods you have ordered are audio or video recording or computer software, and you have taken these items out of the sealed packages in which they were delivered to you.

 

To cancel a contract, write "Cancel Contract" on the back of the invoice. Package the items securely, and send them to us complete with invoice/receipt within seven working days following delivery. We request that you email us at [email protected] to inform us that you are returning goods before you send them. 24 hours advance warning is required for returns. The return address is:

We recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service. Note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us unless the item was delivered to you in error. You should be aware that once the delivery process begins, you will not be able to cancel any contract you have with us for services carried out by us (for example, postage and packing). When notice of your cancellation and the goods are received, a refund of the relevant part of the purchase price for that item will be issued within 30 days provided that the goods in question are returned by you, and received by Ink Express in the condition they were in when delivered to you. If you do not return the goods delivered to you, or do not pay the costs of delivery, Ink Express are entitled to deduct the direct costs of recovering the goods from the amount to be re-credited to you.

All Other Returns


All goods supplied by Ink Express ltd are warranted to be sound of workmanship and materials, and suitable for the purpose in which they were designed under fair conditions. Our liability under this Warranty will be limited to the replacement, repair or issue of credit against any goods acknowledged by us to be faulty, provided that such faults have not been caused by misuse of the goods or negligent handling of them.
Customers must have called the Ink Express office to speak to a technical support advisor before any returns can be initialised due to the technical nature of the products sold. With the support of our technical team all steps which they advise must be taken to attempt the correct use of any item sold by Ink Express. If the item is then deemed faulty by Ink Express the returns process can begin.

Any cost incurred during the return process (ie, courier costs) is to be paid by the customer. Ink Express do not offer a courier service for return items.

In the event of an item being damaged in transit a customer must either refuse delivery, or make sure it is noted on the driver’s delivery notes that a parcel is damaged before signing for the item. All items, including the box in which it arrived must be retained for inspection purposes. Photographs of the damage may be asked for by a member of staff so that Ink Express can make a claim against the delivery firm for any damage incurred. A replacement, refund or credit will be issued upon a successful claim.

 

Customers are to be aware of the following-

 

Ink Systems Policy 

  • The purchase and fitting of continuous ink system (CIS) to a printer may invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty. Consumers are advised to check this with the printer manufacturer to ensure of any warranty implications which may cause the warranty to be invalidated through the fitting, and use of a continuous ink system.
  • The purchase of a printer and continuous ink system (CIS) as a combined package is again at the consumers risk. Any warranty implications made by the printer manufacturer must be researched by the consumer prior to purchase.
  • Ink Express ltd warrant our continuous ink system (CIS) for 30 days from date of purchase. Any unit with a fault within the warranty period will result in repair or replacement of the unit. Faults which occur outside of the warranty period can still be addressed with low cost repair services available for improved peace of mind.

Printer Policy

  • Printers sold by Ink Express ltd are brand new, unless otherwise stated, and are covered by a manufacturer’s 12-month warranty. Ink Express ltd cover this warranty for the first 30 days from the date of purchase. After this date the warranty lies with the manufacturer. This means any returns made to Ink Express after 30 days will be dealt with by the manufacturer in question.
  • Ink Express are not liable for the time it may take for a manufacturer to assess a returns claim, nor can Ink Express overrule the manufacturers final verdict on a return if the warranty is ruled to be invalid.
  • The use of alternative consumables such as compatible ink cartridges, refillable ink cartridges or a continuous ink system (CIS) may invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty. This is at the owners / buyers own risk. Customers are advised to contact the printer manufacturer if they have any concerns about this.
  • Any returns within the 30 day grace period will be replaced/repaired/credited by Ink Express as long as the following conditions are met;

     Replacement

  1. The printer is returned in the original box, in the same condition in which it was received by the customer, and has been deemed faulty due to a manufacturing default by a member of the Ink Express Technical Support Staff. 
  2. All included Ink Express instructions have been followed correctly. 
  3. No damage has been caused due to negligence or incorrect use by the end user. 
  4. The printer has been returned within the 30 day grace period. 

     Repair

  1. The printer is returned in the original box, in the same condition in which it was received by the customer, and has been deemed faulty due to an unspecific defect by a member of the Ink Express Technical Support Staff. 
  2. All included Ink Express instructions have been followed correctly. 
  3. No damage has been caused due to negligence or incorrect use by the end user. 
  4. The printer has been returned within the 30 day grace period. 

     Credit/Refund

  1. The printer is returned in the original box, in the same condition in which it was received by the customer, completely unused or opened. 
  2. No damage has been caused due to negligence or incorrect use by the end user. 
  3. The printer has been returned within a 7 day grace period. 

Compatible Ink/Toner/Refillable Cartridge Policy

  • All compatible ink/toner/refillable cartridges sold by Ink Express are covered by a 30 day warranty from ourselves. If the ink/toner/refillable cartridge is found to be at fault within this period Ink Express will either repair the item, exchange the item for a new product, or offer credit in the amount of the cartridge cost. If cartridges have been improperly used, or maintenance of the cartridge has been neglected Ink Express will not assume any responsibility for its fault. This includes the entire refillable/ink/toner cartridge range.

Paper Policy

  • All paper should be exmained immediately upon receipt. If a defect is found on the item (this excludes packaging damage) the item can be returned for exchange or refund within 7 days of the purchase date. All returns must be pre-authorised by Ink Express.

 

 All refunds will be paid to the card or paypal account that charges were originally drawn from within 30 days of a successfully complete return.
