The new Epson Stylus Photo R3000 printer replaces the Stylus Photo R2880 as Epson’s flagship A3+ printer aimed at professional and semi-professional users.
I had been looking forward to trying the new Epson Stylus Photo R3000 since I heard about its launch some months ago, our continuous ink supply system (CISS) for the Stylus Photo R2880 had been a great sucess so I wanted to crack on and get the Stylus Photo R3000 tested before Christmas.
We started testing the new Stylus Photo R3000 early last week, we were initially going to push forward with our continuous ink system, but we opted for a refillable ink cartridge set instead.

Fitment is striaght forward, we shall be supplying the refillable ink cartridge prefilled with ink (around 25ml per cartridge) along with an additional 75ml to top up the cartridges when required. With the refilalble cartridge set filled and primed fitment was simply a matter of installing as normal.
The printer recognised the cartridges immediately and began to charge the ink set, the initial ink charge does take some time (around 7 minutes) but after that we were ready to print.
